The Name Game

One of the reasons I made so many false starts in army construction (other than general flightiness) is that it took me a while to realize I really need to "get behind" the character of an army to maintain an interest. That's why I keep coming back to the Dark Angels - they just get me, you know?

Like my buddy Matt, I need to make up stories about my army men to get the full enjoyment out of the game. I may not tell you the stories, but I'm thinking about them just the same. I'm also making little rocket noises in my head.

Here are some names I've been thinking of for my tournament army:

Characters
Melchiah
Dumah
Rahab

Call Signs (Unit Names)
Crown
Shroud
Grail
Tomb
Scroll
Throne
Sword
Key
Altar
Elder
Gate
Judge

Land Raiders
Leviathan
Behemoth

Strike Cruisers (Army Name)
Hideous Burden
Perfect Hatred
Hell of Solitude

So all in all, a bunch of happy guys.

Edit: It occurs to me that Matt's not the only closet roleplayer in the group. How many times has this guy bought it, only to return in the next deployment phase? Curse you, Angholan.

  1. Hey, he's never killed, he's just knocked out, injured, suit power failed, something. Cannot be destroyed by conventional means!
